Testimonies of Healing and Deliverance

Deliverance from Multiple Personalities:  Darlene, who stayed with us a couple of months, suffered from hearing constant voices in her head…all arguing with each other.  Jacques had a word of knowledge from God, which brought to light the fact that she was suffering multiple personality disorder.  When we prayed, the power of God went through her.  Darlene felt like bubbles of water were running through her body.  In an instant, she was completely whole.  The following day, she told us of all the different characters that had been at play. 

“This is like a new birth.  Everything I do is like it is for the very first time... even going for groceries.”

Deliverance from Cocaine Addiction:  The day Marilyn arrived, she was high on Cocaine.  As much as she wanted to be clean when she came, the drugs hold on her was too strong. Upon arriving she emptied her purse of all of her drugs, and surrendered to Jesus.  Here is what she wrote to another who wanted to come,

"I would travel the world once over to end up once again at the doorstep of Jacques & Jo-Anne Leroux at Still Life Retreat. I truly believe with all my heart that God wanted me to find Still Life at the very last minute.  My heart changed…I was filled with love and peace.  Oh it was very unexpected to me. I just wanted to get away for the weekend, but guess what?!!  God had much more exciting plans for me… and Jesus led the way.  I only stayed four days, but I could have stayed for weeks on end.”

Deliverance from Marijuana Addiction:  Mary's testimony…
"I'd reached the end of my rope and it was time for God to get my attention again. Still Life and Jo-Anne's straight talk made me see how far I'd strayed.  Their awesomeness was also evident to my husband in their ministering to him, over the phone, while discussing my problems.  Our relationship with the Lord is a result of these wonderful people of God."

Healing Marriage:  Brenda's testimony...
"I would like you both to know how things are going since we left you last week.  I feel on top of the world. I have never felt like this and I am so grateful. Praise God! I truly feel like I have been given a whole new life, a new start.  I feel so much lighter, happier. I feel free from the weight of anxiety and worry for the first time in my life.  Every day, I give thanks to the Lord for you two wonderful servants of the Lord.  We are so much closer and our love has grown in leaps and bounds. I feel so much love for him."

Forgiving Dad:  Sharon's testimony...
"I feel there has been a change in my life for the better since I left the retreat center.  First of all, my relationship with my dad has improved greatly.  Sometimes I still struggle with my feelings toward him, but over all, I have much more peace. I can also say that I have been experiencing much more love toward him, which is not from me.  I have actually enjoyed being with him sometimes.  I really do feel that you were right Jo-Anne... that it was easier to be mad at him.  Since I have discovered that my mother was not perfect after all, I have a new found respect for my dad."

Discovering the Father's Love:  Lucy's testimony...
"Thank you so much for helping me see myself, but more so for the potential you saw in me to change. You have had a pivotal roll in my transformation, my metamorphosis. I am free!!!  I am made new!!! Thank you also for your warm hospitality and for being the spiritual parents I needed right now. You have a wonderful ministry here, a wonderful oasis out in the middle of nowhere.  God's nature is a wonderful refuge for any soul.  May God bless you for what you have done and been for me... so here I go... dancing in my Daddy's arms."

Marriage Reconciliation:  Vincent came to us with his marriage in ruins, desperate to find God.  Once he had accepted Jesus and was filled with the Holy Spirit, the transformation into a godly man attracted his wife to return to him.  She, in turn, accepted the Lord.  Lena let go of a promising career as an opera singer to become worship leader of her new-found church. 

"There are no words to describe how grateful I feel to God for putting your inspired souls in my path. You both are living proof that Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit exist. From the bottom of my heart, through the Holy Trinity, I want to thank you for everything."  Love Vincent

Deliverance from Alcohol Addiction:  Karen came to us totally broken, addicted to alcohol, homeless and broken hearted, having just given up her twins for adoption.  Through the power of the Holy Spirit, she turned her life around. 

"I thought this saying might help in expressing how grateful and thankful I am to you both.  I have been blessed with your unconditional love and support... love in it's purest form, I have felt here.  It will remain in me forever.   I have thanked God many times for the Love that you are.  God is awesome and so are the people he chooses to guide others.  If I had the power to pull stars from the sky, I would give them to you.  How thankful I am to be here with you now.   I will leave here knowing love."  Love Karen xoxo

Deliverance from Depression: Deborah's testimony...
"God has done great things in my life through Jesus, my Saviour.  Recently, I have been healed of depression and received the joy of the Lord!  It's a great miracle, as I was on pills for depression for years.  No more!!  Now Jesus, the Holy Spirit and the love of the Father are my daily pill."
